Mr. Joe Hill, P.E.

Joe Hill, Program Manager for Terracon in the College Station office, has fifteen years of cumulative experience in the fields of construction management, general contracting, materials testing, and geotechnical engineering. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma and an active participant in the Houston Chapter of ACI. He is a member of several ACI committees, including C680 Adhesive Anchor Installer Certification and C681 Adhesive Anchor Installation Inspector. Joe received his B.S. and M.E. in civil engineering from the Texas A&M University.
Presentation Description:
The presentation will emphasize the crucial roles of certifications, inspections, and adherence to specifications in ensuring structural integrity. To illustrate these points, we will examine case studies of adhesive anchor failures, analyze the factors contributing to these incidents, and discuss the remedial actions implemented. Additionally, the presentation will cover ACI certification and inspection programs designed to support engineers, owners, and contractors in maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
