The next meeting of the SEAoT San Antonio Chapter will be held on Tuesday, April 15th, 2025.  We will be hosting our meeting at Old San Francisco Steak House.

Topic: Insteel Engineered Products: An Introduction to WWR Mats for Cast-in-Place Concrete

Presenters:

Stephen Flora, National Sales Manager - Insteel Engineered Products

Stephen, an Austin, TX native, is the National Sales Manager for Insteel Engineered Products based out of Mt. Airy, NC. Stephen grew up playing multiple sports and played baseball at Galveston College and Texas A&M University Corpus Christi before playing a year professionally and then coaching college baseball for 6 seasons.

Stephen comes from a long line of reinforced concrete (5th generation). Stephen is the grandson of Steve Childs (Former Gifford Hill/Hanson GM), and nephew of Matt Childs (Former ACPA President) and spent much of his childhood wanting to the follow in their footsteps. When the opportunity came for Stephen to join Insteel in the fall of 2020, the childhood dream came true. Stephen quickly developed relationships and familiarity with the cast-in-place construction market, earning the title of National Sales Manager in 2022. Under Stephen’s leadership, Insteel Engineered Products has expanded market share across the country. Stephen now resides in Winston Salem, NC and is married, Mikaela Flora, and has a daughter, Hyla Flora. Outside of work, Stephen is an avid sportsman and self-proclaimed tequila and barbecue connoisseur.

Proceeds from meeting dues will contribute to the end of year fundraiser event.
