The next meeting of the SEAoT San Antonio Chapter will be held on Tuesday, May 21st, 2024.  We will be hosting our meeting at Old San Francisco Steak House.

Topic: Heavy Timber // Dickie Hall at Trinity University

A case study of Heavy Timber applications, challenges, and recommendations learned during design and construction of Dickie Hall at Trinity University.

Presenter: Larry Rickels, PE, Principal, Datum Engineers, Inc.

Larry has an eye for detail, responsiveness, creativity, and sensitivity to good design. He has two bachelor’s degrees from UT Austin - one in architecture and the other in architectural engineering - and also a master's degree in engineering. His body of work includes museums, K-12 and higher education facilities, retail centers, commercial buildings, and religious facilities. Signature projects include the Witte Museum Renovation/Addition, The DoSeum, UTSA University Center expansion, Plaza de Armas Renovations, and the upcoming Alamo Visitor Center and Museum.

Time: 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

• $10 for UTSA Faculty and Students

Proceeds from meeting dues will contribute to the end of year fundraiser event.
